Rogers Group is currently seeking an Equipment Operator for the Base Stone and Grading crew in Gallatin, TN. This role will be focused on utilizing grading equipment for laying and finishing base stone for paving on base stone and grading projects.
The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced operator, and they must have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
JOB DETAILS
• Day Shift (some weekend work required)
• Wages starting at $23.00/hr
Job Responsibilities
• 1-3 years of experience operating various site construction equipment – dozers, skid-steers, bobcats, rollers, etc.
• Train to operate a dozer and other heavy or grading equipment to complete rough grading and fine grading tasks – prior experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill and proficiency and in challenging and unique terrain environments.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Qualifications
• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment – such as small dozers, skid-steers, bobcats, rollers, and mini-excavators.
• Previous experience operating a motor grader is a plus.
• Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.
