Bartender - 1+ Year Experience Required

About us

Sonata is a restaurant within The Mahaffey Theater in downtown St. Petersburg. We have part-time openings for experienced Bartenders with a minimum of 1 year bartending and serving experience. Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft cocktails.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers

- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections

- Utilize Toast POS system to accurately input and track orders

- Handle cash transactions accurately

- Maintain a clean and organized bar area

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol

- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or requests promptly

Requirements:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in both bartending and serving

- Knowledge of wine, spirits and craft cocktails

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tables and bar guests simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions

- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Toast POS, is a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to provide excellent guest relations and customer service

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
