At Baffinland, we work and live beyond the Arctic Circle, mining iron ore at our Mary River property. Located in the Qikiqtani Region on Baffin Island, Nunavut, it’s one of the world’s most captivating and seldom seen destinations and we are looking for people ready to share, build, and grow with our company.

We are a unique company with a strong management team. Our leadership team has amassed specialty experience on northern mining projects from community consultation and permitting, through to operation. The Baffinland Graduate Development Program provides recent graduates with a structured pathway from academic study to professional practice within the mining sector.

All new-to-workforce grads are enrolled in our 18-month Graduate Development Program, participants complete a series of work initiatives and assignments in their educational discipline—engineering, data analytics, finance, human resources, business development, or related fields—while receiving continuous mentorship from subject-matter experts and senior leaders.

Candidate Profile

Main Qualifications

- Post Secondary degree program (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program) in a relevant field.

- Demonstrated analytical aptitude and problem-solving capability.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Proven ability to work effectively in team-based environments and to manage multiple priorities.

- Permanent eligibility to work in Canada. (Candidates requiring a work permit must clearly indicate their status)
