We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team! This position will play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe and reliable. The Automotive tech will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles on our company's fleet including trailers, both utility and semi truck trailers.
- Performs vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues.
- Repairs and replaces faulty components, such as brakes, shocks, struts, and exhaust systems.
- Conducts routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Uses manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Assembles and disassembles vehicle components.
- Performs equipment repairs and ensures proper functioning.
- Keeps an accurate record of all repairs and services performed using the company’s ERP.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Conforms with state and company safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient in vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with manuals.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.
- ASE Certification or 5 years of automotive experience required.
- Diesel, semi-truck, and/or HVAC knowledge highly considered but not required.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
