Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and be proficient in various CAD software applications. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and plans that meet project specifications and standards. The CAD Drafter will collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the design process.

Responsibilities

•

Create models and layouts for mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

•

Perform revisions and updates to existing drawings as needed based on feedback from project stakeholders.

•

Conduct quality checks on all drawings to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.

•

Create precise and accurate shop drawings for a variety of metal fabrications including railings, fences, gates, stairs, trellises, pergolas, and more.

•

Read and interpret architectural and structural plans to develop fabrication details.

•

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining quality and technical accuracy.

•

Communicate clearly with fabricators and installers, explaining drawing details as needed.

•

Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.

•

Maintain organization of project files and documentation.

•

Utilize AutoCAD proficiently for drafting and detailing.

Requirements

•

Minimum 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in metalwork.

•

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

•

Proficient in AutoCAD and computer savvy.

•

Strong understanding of metal fabrications and industry details.

•

Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural plans.

•

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

•

Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken, written, and read).

•

Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

•

Strong team player with the ability to ask questions and seek clarity when needed.

•

Comfortable explaining designs and drawings to fabricators and installers.

•

Preferred with with engineering background
