Summary:

Responsible for administrative, financial, and operational aspects of unregulated joint-use of CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric (CEHE) assets where revenue is collected from any third-party license. Will execute project coordination efforts and administrative tasks to install, repair, maintain, upgrade, decommission, and relocate commercial wireless antenna structures on CenterPoint Energy assets. Will support adherence to joint-use agreements for use of CenterPoint fiber network by commercial fiber providers. Will ensure agreements for the joint use of CEHE assets are carried out and managed in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations and Company policy. Will build and maintain strong customer relationships.



Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinate tasks to license, install, maintain, upgrades, relocation, and decommission of customer third-party facilities on CenterPoint assets in compliance with the applicable terms and conditions of agreements, local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and Company policies.
Receives and reviews applications, revisions, and renewals of license agreements.
Inputs required technical data for licenses and site documentation into appropriate computer applications, databases, and systems.
Coordinate execution of site license agreements.
Coordinate vendor and procurement communication to order and maintain inventory of materials on hand as well as project specific materials or vendor services.
Ensure customer accounts are up to date receivables of fees for third-party use of CEHE assets by invoicing and facilitating collection of outstanding invoices and tracking those activities.
Own the relationship with the customer by managing expectations, educating, and collaborating to support the customer’s and company’s goals.
Ensure that third parties comply with the applicable terms and conditions of agreements and Company policies.
Ensure compliance with Company Safety guidelines, insurance and surety requirements, legal notices, and developing and maintaining reporting.
Utilize computer skills to manage third-party accounts including work order creation, PO releases, invoicing, collections, and accounting adjustments.
Coordinate third-party joint use activities with Legal, Credit, Risk Management, Operations, and other departments to promote safety, mitigate risks, ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, and develop strategies for debt collection.
Utilize SAP, SharePoint, GIS, Citrix, CRM, Microsoft: Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams, and other software and resources to effectively manage projects.
Coordinators are expected to be proficient in the above duties, train others, and support more senior roles in the department.


Education:


High School Diploma or equivalent required.



Experience:

Requires seven years of applicable experience in at least one of the following:

Wireless network systems
Fiber network systems
Communication tower construction
Utility construction
Eletric Transmission operations
Property acquisitions


In lieu of years' experience, a 2-year degree in construction management, business, or related field and 5 years' experience would be considered.


In lieu of years' experience, a 4-year degree in construction management, business, or related field and 3 years' experience would be considered.


Additional Knowledge, Skills, Licenses/Certifications, Abilities & Personal Characteristics (KSLAPs):

Ability to demonstrate proficiency with personal computer office systems: database, spreadsheet, word processing, and graphics software.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in use of SAP to include plan/actual data entry, retrieval, and analysis.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems and related operations, consistent with level of responsibility.
Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of the processes, systems, assets, resources, key personnel, and business functions of the department and our customers.
Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all peers, customers, internal and external departments.
Ability to perform as a team member in a cross-functional team environment and achieve consensus decisions.
Ability to read, understand and follow written policies and procedures.
Ability to use and maintain technical and professional knowledge, share the knowledge with others, and recognize/apply new technology in a cost-effective manner.
Ability to obtain and apply knowledge of competitive business practices in daily work activities and decision making.
Ability to seek and understand the customer/client’s needs and focuses on meeting and exceeding their expectations.

Able to provide a valid state driver's license and present and maintain a good driving record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Ability to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures and do so consistently, take all required training courses and do so timely.
Ability to demonstrate respect for all individuals, adhere to the Company’s values and business practices and do both consistently.


Physical Requirements:

Able to operate a motor vehicle and the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
May be required to wear personal protective safety equipment (safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear) when conducting field visits.
Able to demonstrate the manual dexterity required to operate a personal computer.
Able to view computer terminal/screen, sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
Able to take notes and compose written documents.
Able to exert less than ten pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Able to travel to field locations and travel out of town overnight for meetings or conferences as needed.
Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment


Working Conditions:

Normal office environment and field visits.
Able to work indoors, in an office environment, either cubicle or open office.
Able to work outdoors and conduct job site meetings.
Able to work with daily pressure to meet deadlines.
Able to work overtime (scheduled and/or unscheduled, nights and/or weekends) occasionally, as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
Will be required to remain in the service area during emergency events and assume responsibilities assigned by the company to aide in restoration efforts.
