Overview
The Associate Construction Specialist will oversee contract payment processes, ensure adherence to Company safety, health, and environmental programs, and maintain compliance with safe work practices and regulations.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
•DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT: Responsible for requesting documentation from the Companys contractors to support Unit Price Contract payments.
•COMPLIANCE REVIEW: Ensures all required documents, paperwork, photographs, etc. are properly compiled in contract payment folders before submission to the Chief Construction Inspector (CCI) for review.
•PAYMENT TRACKING: Tracks, monitors, and maintains payment folders from initial submission by Inspectors and Construction Representatives (CR) through final payment.
•MONITORING: Supports the goals of Construction Management to ensure maximized safety, quality, efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
•STANDARDS & ETHICS: Assist with the resolution of coUpholds the Way We Work Principles and adheres to the Companys Standards of Business Conduct.
•Complies with Company procedures, including Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), discipline, and security.ntractor exceptions to proposed payments (claims).
•May perform other related assignments as required to support departmental needs.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
•High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 4 years relevant work experience. Relevant work experience includes: Experience in office management, utilization of spreadsheets and databases to track and monitor work queues; interfacing with customers and/or contractors, filing, setting-up and following-up with appointments along with updating financial records or
•Associate's Degree and minimum of 3 years relevant work experience. Relevant work experience includes: Experience in office management, utilization of spreadsheets and databases to track and monitor work queues; interfacing with customers and/or contractors, filing, setting-up and following-up with appointments along with updating financial records or
•Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience. Relevant work experience includes: Experience in office management, utilization of spreadsheets and databases to track and monitor work queues; interfacing with customers and/or contractors, filing, setting-up and following-up with appointments along with updating financial records
Relevant Work Experience
•Demonstrated experience working with both internal and external customers to resolve problems and create a positive customer experience. Required
•Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office software applications (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Required
•Demonstrated experience managing multiple assignments.
•Experience in office management, utilization of spreadsheets and databases to track and monitor work queues. Required
•Experience interfacing with customers and/or contractors, filing, setting-up and following-up with appointments along with updating financial records. Required
•Experience working with Customer Relationship Management Software Applications (CRMS). Preferred
•Experience with accounts receivable and invoicing contractors
•Experience with Work Management Systems like Oracle EBS
•Experience with Data Analytics tool such as Tableau and/or PowerBI
•Working knowledge of CworX. Preferred
•Experience in interpreting contract pay items and standard terms and conditions of construction contracts is preferred. Preferred
•Knowledge of Oracle EBS or other payment, invoicing system applications. Preferred

Additional Physical Demands
•Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
•Must be willing and able to push, pull, lift up to 25 pounds.
•Must be willing and able to sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift.
•Must be willing and able to sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift.
•Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift.
•Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday.
•Must be able to read small print and symbols.
•Must be willing and able to wear PPE as required.
•Must be willing and able to travel within the Company service territories, as necessary.
•Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required
•Must be willing and able to work in hot or cold climates during emergencies i.e. Storm Duty.
