Bare Steel was founded in 2016 and is a family-operated business led by Michael and Miguel Gamboa. We specialize in structural steel and ornamental iron fabrication for contractors and builders in Southern California. Our mission is to be a trusted manufacturer and supplier of bare steel for the Southern California construction industry.
The Assistant Project Manager oversees assigned projects and is responsible for quality control, budget management, and meeting deadlines.
· Serve as liaison between office staff and project teams for ordering, invoicing, etc.
· Work closely with the Shop Manager and implement project-specific quality control
· Serve as a liaison between field and shop staff
· Coordinate construction projects from start to finish; analyze projects at conception to determine needs in the field
· Confirm all project specifications and measurements prior to work beginning; confirm items for fabrication
· Verify and document that all materials/equipment received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable for use in the project; check for damaged and defective materials and address
· Participate in project review meetings with the team to discuss project details
· Package and prepare all items for delivery in the field
· Ensure work duties are performed safely in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations
· Represent company values including accountability, trust, commitment, high quality, and safety on a daily basis
