Position Overview:
Work closely, and at the direction of the Project Manager, for all stages of the construction cycle. Understanding project scope, identifying project participants, completing and communicating critical actionable items and ensuring a successful client experience is paramount to the success of this position.
Duties/Responsibilities – For Assigned Projects:
•Assist PM in developing project schedules/critical path analysis.
•Assist PM to identify long lead-items through bid process and expedite long lead-items during procurement.
•Create, maintain, and update project directories.
•Maintain/update logs for Submittals, RFI’s, and Change Orders throughout the duration of assigned project.
•Own the submittal process and ensure value added review of all submittals are performed before PM approval and the ultimate submissions are executed on.
•Own the RFI process during Pre & Post construction phases.
•Assist, and at times, own Change Order work to include gathering client requirements, costing, submissions, buy-out and ensure work is scheduled and completed.
•Own the close-out process for assigned projects to commence at the start of the project.
•Review all project document materials for accuracy and quality.
•Confirm and follow all Project Special Inspections performed and document in log.
•Attend job meetings and site-visits periodically and review all weekly job minutes to stay in tune with assigned job progress.

Education/Experience:
•3+ years of industry experience
•A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or project management.
•Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans and specifications.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications to include a strong working ability in using Excel and Microsoft Project.
Work Environment:
The majority of the Assistant Project Manager’s working hours will be at the office working alongside Project Managers and the Administration support teams. At various times throughout assigned projects, onsite visits will occur in an effort to stay intimate with the project’s progress. Work weeks are generally 40 hours a week, however due to the nature of construction and “Time is of Essence” contracts the company performs, evening and weekend work when required will be mandatory.
