Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Assistant Project Manager to support the daily management of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) construction projects. This role involves working alongside the Superintendent to ensure projects are executed efficiently, coordinating schedules, materials, and labor. The right candidate should have some experience or familiarity with construction or MEP systems and be eager to grow in the field.
Responsibilities:
•Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day MEP site activities.
•Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to keep deliveries and tasks on track.
•Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, progress logs, and safety documentation.
•Assist in supervising site personnel to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
•Track project schedules and promptly report updates or delays.
•Help review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
•Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify and report potential issues or hazards.
•Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to keep everyone informed.
•Aid in preparing budgets, purchase orders, and handling change orders.
•Ensure necessary tools, materials, and equipment are available and ready.
•Assist with troubleshooting and resolving MEP-related issues on-site.
•Handle additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
•Previous experience in construction or MEP-related work preferred.
•Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
•Good communication and teamwork abilities.
•Familiarity with MEP systems or a willingness to learn quickly.
•Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
•Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
•High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in construction or MEP are a plus.
•OSHA certification or a willingness to obtain it.
