About the Role:

The Assistant Project Mgr I is responsible for assisting in the oversight of construction projects that deliver exceptional results for clients, generate profit, and produce lasting client relationships.

The Assistant Project Manager II communicates with staff and clients, makes decisions and monitors the progress of the project to keep it on schedule. The APM II ensures that projects are properly priced and meet all safety, quality and legal requirements and negotiates solutions for problems encountered during the project. The APM II has the sole responsibility for the completion of the projects assigned, is not subject to other on-site supervision by a project manager, and typically reports directly to an Operations Manager or a Regional Manager. Essential Functions* Assist Project Manager in a wide range of service management duties

Proactively develop effective, efficient solutions to issues that may arise
Study bid specifications and drawings carefully
Communicate continuously with clients
Deliver on projects in a timely manner
Attend networking events and travel to conferences and job sites as needed
Work to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors and the subcontractor community
Coordinate closely with crews, superintendents, and other departments within the company
Ensure safety procedures and policies are in place and followed
Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports
Prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera
Regular and predictable attendance
Other duties as assigned
Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards

About You: Qualifications: Assistant Project Manager I* Minimum 1 year of experience as Estimator or Project Engineer in the electrical construction industry

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities* Proficiency with MS Excel, and Word

Superior verbal and written communication skills
Superior analytical and organizational skills
Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
OSHA certifications

Qualifications: Assistant Project Manager II* 3+ years of project experience working in the construction industry is required

Experience with large-scale construction sites preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities* Proven leadership skills

Design and documentation skills
Advanced understanding of project management
Cost and risk management skills
Advanced problem-solving skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, familiarity with scheduling software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred
Ability to delegate effectively
Proven ability to make important decisions under pressure

What We Offer: Compensation & Benefits* Salary $64,000 - $105,000 annual Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
