FOCUS: PROJECT ADMINISTRATION & COORDINATION
An assistant project manager (APM) obtains, evaluates, coordinates, and distributes the information necessary to construct the project. The APM is responsible for timely communication and effective coordination amongst members of the project team. This position reports to and receives direction from a project manager and does not supervise any direct reports. APMs are expected to work from the project jobsite(s) as necessary. While learning paths, growth, and promotional opportunity vary, most team members are APMs for two to six years.
SAFETY
•Inspects/monitors project conditions onsite daily and issues safety observation reports in HITT's safety management software
•Collects and reviews subcontractor safety plans
•Assists Site Operations with obtaining all required
MSDS
•Assists Site Operations with Activity Hazard
•Analysis (AHA) management
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
•Participates in industry events
PROCUREMENT
•Writes bid scopes of work
•Issues invitations to bid
•Tracks and monitors bid participation
OWNER CONTRACT & RISK MANAGEMENT
•Uploads contract documents and specifications to Procore as directed by the project team
•TEAM & RESOURCE ALLOCATION
•Sponsors a construction intern as assigned
SUBCONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
•Effectively communicates with all subcontractors on project and promptly replies to their calls and emails
•Develops relationships with subcontractor counterparts
•Visits subcontractor facilities/offices for check-ins
•Schedules lunch and learns (or similar events) with subcontractors on active work
•Verifies all subcontractors are insured and onboarded per company policies
PROJECT CONTROLS
•Documents owner-architect-contractor (OAC) progress meetings and distributes minutes
•Creates, manages, and distributes material tracking log
•Manages all submittals and RFIs
•Creates punchlist and ensures completion
•Establishes and reviews O&Ms
•Creates attic stock log and manages transfer of stock to client
•Manages ongoing warranty issues for clients
FINANCIAL AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Tracks potential change orders (PCO) in PCO Log
•Assists project team with compiling change orders
