Water Operator – Keep Your Community Flowing!

- Essential Work – Play a critical role in maintaining and operating water production facilities.
- Hands-On Experience – Work with pumps, motors, chemical feed systems, and treatment equipment to ensure quality water service.
- Work Outdoors & Indoors – Monitor treatment plant flows, tank levels, and water pressures in all weather conditions.
- Career Growth – Earn your T-1 Operator’s License while gaining valuable industry experience.
- Team-Oriented – Collaborate with operators, maintenance teams, and lab staff to keep operations running smoothly.
- Monitor & Maintain – Ensure water treatment processes are running efficiently by inspecting equipment and adjusting chemicals as needed.
- Operate Key Systems – Assist in operating booster pumps, well fields, and treatment facilities to meet demand.
- Test & Record – Perform field testing and keep detailed records to meet regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response – Be ready to respond to alarms or urgent issues to keep water flowing.
- Maintain Equipment – Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at production facilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (must be maintained)
- T-1 Operator’s License preferred (or ability to obtain within four years)
- Electrical certification from an accredited trade school (a plus!)
- Ability to lift, crouch, bend, and work in outdoor conditions
- Salary Range: $47,878 – $71,817 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
