Reporting to the Mobile General Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for assisting in managing all aspects of mine mobile maintenance area, to ensure that maintenance work is performed in the safest and most cost-effective manner in compliance with expected standards and regulations. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Supervise and coordinate the mobile mechanical crew to ensure work is performed correctly, safely and on time with minimal impact on my productivity
- Oversee mobile supervisors who are responsible for the underground mobile assets including haulage trucks, LHD’s, Jumbo’s, scissor decks, loading tractors and all other support gear
- Hold daily safety/communication meetings with crew
- Assist with supporting supervisors
- Ensure crews are trained to work in a safe, productive, and environmentally sound manner
- Inspect work to identify training needs and assist in development of training programs
- Supervise and manage performance in step with set KPI’s including planned and responsive maintenance & shutdowns
- Ensure production and maintenance KPI's are attained (availability, throughput, schedule compliance, costs)
- Motivate and instruct all crew members when possible
- Review and sign off work orders in SAP/CMMS, review PM sheets for completion and proper information
- Communicate with other departments’ personnel to plan and schedules maintenance work
- Assist in revising programs, procedures, parts, systems, etc
- All other duties as assigned
- Certified Red Seal Mechanic or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering
- 5 years’ work experience, preferably in mobile maintenance or heavy industrial setting
- Supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of CCMs programs, SAP, looking up parts, generate work orders, etc
- Sounds like working knowledge of best health and safety practices
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
