Assistant Gardener

Position: Assistant Gardener

· 40hr/week, full-time position

· $20-$23 per hour starting wage, dependent upon experience

Duties:

- - Assist Lead Gardener with monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual fine garden maintenance throughout the greater Sacramento region.

Must have:

Requirements of employment

o 18 years of age or older

o Possess a valid CA driver’s license

o Pass general background screening

o Speak and write fluent English

o Legal US citizen or otherwise legal documentation to work in the US

o Comply with a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol use/under the influence while on the job

o Trustworthy, reliable, on-time, and willingness to learn.

o Must be able to lift up to 80lbs, with regular lifting of 35-50lbs

o Able to work outside in temperatures ranging from 40-96 deg F

o Walk, crouch, bend, and squat repeatedly for 1-2 hours at a time

o Possess a working cell phone with a data plan, text, and image capabilities

o Seasonal schedule flexibility —start between 6:30am-8:30am and end 2:30pm-5:30pm, depending on the season/weather
