The Assistant Field Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day activities for maintenance and ground operations throughout the Liberty Park community.
o Monitor roads and common areas weekly for maintenance needs.
§ Make repairs (basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping).
o Work with Association Managers to address concerns and review condition of property.
o Review lakes, ponds and drains to ensure proper flow and water quality.
o Monitor wild animal activity on property and address as needed.
o Use company tools and equipment to make repairs on property.
o Maintain shop and equipment used on property.
o Obtain Qualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI) certification through the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).
o Perform daily inspections and repairs on erosion and sediment control.
§ Check, clean, and replace silt fences, straw wattles, and other items as needed.
o Complete inspection reports as required by ADEM.
o Work with Construction Coordinator to make repairs to BMPs as necessary.
o Read water meters and provide information to billing department monthly.
o Work in a safe environment while practicing and protecting the safety of those around them and upholding OSHA standards.
o Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
o Problem solving, through identification of issues, resolve and then implement the process to improve logistics.
· 2‑3 years of assistant-related experience in construction or maintenance field preferred.
· Driver’s license and ability to maintain clean driving record.
· Obtain and maintain Class A CDL driver’s license.
· Knowledge of ADEM requirements for erosion and sediment control measures. Certified QCI inspector is preferred, but not required upon hire.
· Ability to communicate to internal and external customers.
· Ability to listen and communicate effectively while allowing others to have opinions and to encourage mutual problem solving.
· Self-starter who leads by example and readily takes on additional responsibility.
· Ability to perform tasks and complete projects without direct supervision.
· Competent with Excel, Word, and Outlook, or is easily trainable in these software applications.
· Certified Backflow Preventer Tester experience a plus.
