Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in blueprint reading, residential & commercial construction. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to supervise teams effectively while ensuring that all projects adhere to safety standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
•Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
•Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution.
•Manage contracts and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship.
•Supervise construction teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
•Utilize Buildertrend for accurate budgeting and cost estimation throughout the project lifecycle.
•Implement construction estimating practices to forecast project needs effectively.
•Use Buildertrend for scheduling and tracking project progress, adjusting timelines as necessary.
•Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
•Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
•Proven experience as an Assistant Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
•Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, contract management, residential & commercial building processes.
•Proficiency in Buildertrend software for budgeting and scheduling tasks.
•Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
•Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the project.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
