SUMMARY
The Assembly Repair Technician is responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling “Roll-in” Assemblies. This role involves working collaboratively with other technicians on projects, assigned based on qualifications, technical expertise, and operational needs. The technician will support the Assembly Repair Supervisor with resource planning, data tracking, and shop development initiatives to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Maintain and execute Assembly and Repair processes within HRT.
•Apply balanced mechanical skills to optimize the repair and assembly of turbine components.
•Continuously develop and refine standard procedures for both shop and field operations.
•Coordinate with HRT supervisors, engineers, operations managers, and the EHS [Environmental Health & Safety] team to ensure sufficient resources are in place to complete tasks safely and effectively.
•Support outage optimization efforts, integrating duration reduction strategies into standard practices.
•Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly maintenance activities.
•Accurately complete and review required documentation, including datasheets, Core files, and work packages, in a timely manner.
•Coordinate with EHS to stay current on mandatory training and compliance.
•Actively participate as a contributing member of a collaborative team.
•Provide ongoing technical support for maintenance activities involving turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment.
•Apply fundamental concepts and procedures for turbine generator maintenance.
•Travel overnight approximately 20% or more, via land and/or air, as required.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

•Education/Experience: One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or at least three years of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence.
•Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry.
•Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Capable of addressing problems with multiple variables in standardized settings.
•Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs, as well as email, flowcharting tools, technical diagrams, ERP, PDM, and presentation software.
