The Assembler will assemble small stainless steam traps, test, repair, evaluate, and/or package manufactured products. This position could perform other tasks as assigned including operating/maintaining machinery, metal fabrication, welding and working on a production line. Key Responsibilities
• Verifies information on production orders and prepare items for assembly
• Determines method of assembly by utilizing knowledge of assembly routings and
procedures
• Understanding of basic power tools
• Proper use of testing equipment
• Appropriate gaging knowledge
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• SPC quality system awareness
• Compares identifying information, counts, weights, and verifies data against bills of materials
• Organizes and keeps work area clean
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion;
resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. Key Requirements
