Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, the Assembler is responsible for assembling all Argus products in accordance with production and quality standards, procedures, and practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Role accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
•Interpret production order information, including part descriptions, documents and drawings.
•Read and interpret drawings to assemble products in a responsible, diligent and efficient manner.
•Carry out work order instructions to:
+ Assemble new Argus products.
+ Dis-assemble, inspect/ repair and re-assemble Argus used products.
•Understand the sequence of operations for a production order.
•Handle materials and equipment with care to ensure product is not damaged while being assembled. Report any concerns to the Assembly Supervisor.
•Completes work orders within deadlines, utilizing appropriate resources for each job. Plans and prioritizes workload, adjusting for problems and working with the Assembly Supervisor to address them.
•Maintain the Assembly area and equipment, ensuring the equipment is clean and correctly stored.
•Use forklift and overhead cranes to safely maneuver product within the Assembly shop.
•Use air tools and torque machines, as required, safely and correctly to complete product assembly.
•Inspect and test final completed product.
•Complete product documentation for work carried out. Route the product and related documentation to the appropriate location once completed.
•Provide general shop labor as required.
•Record time and switch codes on the Blue Terminal, scan router operations, enter product quantity and consume parts.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
•High School Diploma required.
•No prior experience is required for this position.
•Experience with Dynamics AX/ ERP inventory system is an asset.
•A forklift and crane operation certificate is an asset.
•General knowledge of products and services in relation to the oil and gas industry.
•General understanding of safe work practices, Quality Assurance requirements, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) principles.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Shop floor environment, extended standing and working with products.
•Working wearing personal protective equipment 100% of work time.
•Lifting regularly up to 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance.
