Asphalt Plant Loader Operator and Maintenance Support

Expectations/ Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
•
Front end loader operator
•
Following all safety standards as per company policies
•
Support daily maintenance of the asphalt and rap plant; greasing of bearings, adjusting belts
•
Must be willing to labor in areas of need
•
Willingness to learn equipment repair skills
•
Keeping work area clean and safe
•
Welding capabilities a plus
Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:
•
Prior front end loader experience
•
Asphalt/rap industry related experience considered a plus but not mandatory
•
Must have an optimistic attitude and willing to learn new tasks
•
Must be able to read, comprehend manuals & directions
Physical Demands:
•
Perform all job-related functions at elevated heights (80’)
•
Repetitive stooping, bending, crouching as required to perform duties
•
Ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds unaccompanied
•
Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
•
Hours of work are: 12 hours a day generally between (5:30am to 5:00pm) Monday through Friday.
•
Saturday work as required.
•
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions
•
Periodical exposure to high levels of noise, grease & dust
Travel:
•
This position is based in Rome, NY
Position is Full-time:
•
Pay: Starting at $26 per hour; final pay depending on experience. Time and the half paid after 40 hours per week.
•
Pay will depend on skills and/or qualifications
