Asphalt Lab Technician

Job Description:

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and will be responsible for a wide variety of quality control efforts including but not limited to testing materials produced to assure compliance with customer and state specifications, providing technical services and support to internal and external customers, supporting efforts to guarantee compliance with environmental agencies, and maintaining control charts and other required records.

Skills and Qualifications:

- We will consider candidates with a High School diploma and 3+ years of quality control experience in the aggregate/asphalt industry. - College degree and 1+ years of quality control experience in the aggregates/asphalt industry, preferred but not required;

- Skilled in operating quality control lab equipment and testing materials.

- Demonstrable knowledge of aggregate testing procedures including specific gravity measurement, gradations, non-durable and crush count.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Preferred certifications: WVDOH and/or PENNDOT Certified Aggregate/Asphalt Technician.

- Proficiency with MS Office applications is required.

Pay: $22.50 - $23.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

- 8 hour shift

- Day shift

- Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

- Bridgeport, WV 26330: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (Preferred)
