Arborist Assistant

Sure Shot Environmental Ltd. is a fast-growing vegetation management company based in Central Alberta, working with utility and municipal clients across the province. We specialize in Utility Patrolling and Consenting, Mechanical & Chemical Vegetation Control, and Environmental Assessments.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be on the front lines of utility right-of-way vegetation work—removing hazard trees, clearing brush, and making sure the power keeps flowing safely and reliably. You’ll travel, problem-solve, and spend your days outside doing physical work that makes a real impact.

What we’re looking for:

- Previous experience as an arborist assistant (or equivalent)

- Background in forestry, arboriculture, or environmental fieldwork

- Valid Class 5 license with Airbrakes and a clean driving record

- Safety tickets: Standard First Aid w/ CPR, CSTS

- Strong tree ID skills and a commitment to safe, efficient work

- Chainsaw training

- Organized, self-directed, and able to lead or follow as needed
