We are seeking an Applied Research Scientist to join our innovative team focused on developing complex acoustic models. This role requires a deep understanding of both the underlying science and the technical skills necessary to implement, organize, and maintain these models.
· Engage closely with the science team to follow discussions on the development of complex acoustic models
· Fully comprehend and work with existing codebases, ensuring they are well-organized, optimized, and maintained as the models evolve
· Collaborate with the science team to implement changes, improvements, and refinements to the models
· Develop and create prototypes to test acoustic models, using MATLAB or other programming languages as required
· Optimize model performance and integration across different platforms and languages
· Work with large datasets, applying SQL to manage, query, and manipulate data effectively
· Utilize Git or other version control systems to track code changes, manage repositories, and ensure code integrity
· Translate research findings into practical applications and solutions
· Work with the software team to deploy models in the production environment
· Strong proficiency in MATLAB, with the ability to understand, modify, and maintain complex code
· Proficiency in SQL for data management and querying
· Experience with Git or other version control systems for code management
· Experience in applied research, particularly within acoustic modeling or related fields, is a plus
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Background in acoustics, signal processing, or related scientific fields
· Experience with other programming languages such as C++ or R is a plus
· Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, for scalable model deployment
· Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
