What you'll do
As an Application Analyst, you will support and optimize our use of multiple software platforms and applications. In this position, you'll serve as the subject matter expert and key liaison between scientists, engineers, and software providers—ensuring the system is effectively customized, maintained, and continuously improved to meet the needs of high-throughput research and production environment. Additionally, you will oversee process, policy and training documentation.
•System Configuration & User Support
+ Become the primary point of expertise on all assigned applications.
+ Provide end-user support by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to the assigned applications.
+ Identify areas of improvement, enhanced efficiencies, and increased functionality
+ Configure settings and functionality within the applications based on user requirements.
+ Work with internal stakeholders (R&D, Process Engineering, QA) to gather requirements and customize workflows, data models, and user interfaces
+ Plan for cross stream and downstream implications of system configurations, data flow, and user impacts.
+ Provide day-to-day support for users, including onboarding, training, and documentation of best practices
•Data Management & Integration
+ Collaborate with IT and software vendors to support integrations between Uncountable and other digital platforms (e.g., LIMS, ERP, instrument data systems).
+ Assist in developing and maintaining data governance protocols.
+ Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across applications.
+ Participate in and support applications IT projects which could include research, analysis, vendor selection and coordination, scheduling, communications, and documentation
•Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
+ Act as the internal liaison to key vendor's (e.g. Uncountable) technical support team, communicating feature requests, bug reports, and roadmap priorities
+ Coordinate and facilitate periodic reviews of system performance and user satisfaction
•User Support and Training
+ Create and provide new hire, regularly scheduled, and/or ad hoc training and guidance to end-users on the efficient use of the assigned applications
What we're looking for
•High School diploma or GED required.
•Minimum of 4 years of directly applicable experience
•Strong verbal and written communications skills
•Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
•Strong knowledge of applications support
•Ample experience interacting with and directing vendor-partners and external support entities
•Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment
•Familiarity with database servers
•Familiarity with SQL databases and reporting preferred.
•Familiarity with programming language such as Python or C#, VB, .Net, and JavaScript preferred
•Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment, and with the Operational Technology (OT) stack (DCS, MES, CMMS, SPC, LIMS, etc.).
•Familiarity with experimental design, data structures, and lab workflows.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate user needs into system requirements.
•Excellent communication and training abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
•Comfortable working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities
Nice to have
•Hands-on experience administering or configuring Uncountable software
•Understanding of software integration methods (APIs, scripting, etc.)
•Exposure to machine learning models or optimization tools used in materials R&D
•Experience in regulated or quality-sensitive environments (e.g., medtech, pharma, advanced materials)

•Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience
