Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is crucial in managing the company’s financial obligations and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in financial software.
Duties
•Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
•Review, verify, and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and receipts.
•Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely manner.
•Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
•Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
•Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies or issues related to vendor payments.
•Support payroll management tasks as needed, including data entry and record maintenance.
•Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Quicken for efficient processing of accounts payable functions.
Skills
•Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
•Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
•Knowledge of payroll management systems such as Kronos is advantageous.
•Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
•Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
