The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $70,992 to $92,774
Job Summary
Selects suppliers and manages corresponding partnerships for all Avangrid operating companies via the Agile Purchasing Team. Drives cost reduction initiatives, customer service levels and quality requirements across the enterprise. Performs other duties assigned by management.
Key Responsibilities•Strategically sources commodities and services, using a variety of traditional and leading-edge methods, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of goods and services across all Avangrid companies. Evaluates and selects suppliers based on their ability to maintain optimum customer service levels at costs in line with annual budgetary expectations.
•Centralizes the procurement function for all operating companies and solicit assistance from subject matter experts where required. Prevents and contains contract leakage to maximize strategic procurement results.
•Negotiates and awards multi-faceted, business-wide enterprise contracts to minimize operational, legal and financial risks.
•Maintains a thorough knowledge of specific commodities and up-to-date cost measurements. Tracks commodity and supplier performance using approved metrics. Analyzes trends and make corresponding decisions that contribute directly to the company’s competitive position.
•Establishes and manages the corporate alliance agreements via the formulation of requests for proposals, bid analysis, and risk evaluations. Abides by internal procedures.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
•Associate’s Degree and 3 years or more of purchasing experience is required.
•Bachelors or MBA in a Technical (Engineering) or Supply Chain fields can be substituted for experience.
