National Grid is hiring an Analyst in our Project Management office for Billing and Collections. This position can be located in Syracuse, NY or Brooklyn, NY This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance

Job Purpose

This role will require a high level of analytical and stakeholder management skills to lead and assist with high profile projects with heavy financial impacts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, manage timelines, and confidently present insights with clarity to members of leadership.

Key Accountabilities

- Assist with end-to-end projects—including scope definition, timeline management, stakeholder alignment, and delivery of high-impact results.

- Develop and present advanced analytical models and forecasts.

- Synthesize complex data into executive-ready presentations for senior leadership, translating technical findings into clear business insights.

- Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple priorities, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with strategic goals.

- Collaborate across Finance, Operations, Regulatory, and IT to gather requirements, align on strategy, and ensure successful implementation of reporting and forecasting solutions

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or PMP a plus).

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development/data modeling) and Alteryx (workflow creation, data blending, automation), or similar software/programs.

- Strong communication skills.

- Experience in the utility or energy sector is desirable.

Salary

$74,000 - $87,000 a year - Syracuse, NY

$89,000 - $105,000 a year - Brooklyn, NY

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
