Analyst – Gas Scheduling

DXT Commodities North America LLC is seeking candidates to add to our growing energy trading desk based in Stamford, CT. This is a front office role with potential responsibilities across all commercial gas marketing functions including scheduling, trading, origination, and analytics.

Opportunity:

- Proactively manage the desk’s physical gas position with senior traders.

- Optimize daily physical positions. Support discovery of short-term opportunities.

- Enter and monitor gas nominations on pipelines, storage facilities, LDCs, etc.

- Identify and present commerical opportunities to the desk.

- Support trading, origination, and analytics functions. Provide input into commercial modeling.

- Promptly maintain accurate actualizations data in system records.

- Perform invoice reconciliations and provide commercial support to back office.

- Execute commercial requests. (Document prep, data analysis, etc)

- Keep yourself and the trade desk informed of material market information, and continually promote the desk’s sphere of knowledge and influence.

Target Candidate:

- Targeting candidates with 2+ years of wholesale gas or power experience in a scheduling or junior trading role.

- Strong results driven attitude. A demonstrated capacity to thrive in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment is a plus.
