The Analyst, Business Planning is responsible for assisting with monthly financial forecasts, developing impactful variance commentary and ad-hoc analysis used for management reporting materials, as well as assisting with the annual Budget process. Analysts will interface with subject matter experts across the enterprise to help ensure the corporate financial forecasts are constructed with cohesive assumptions, accurate operational / financial data, and alignment with the Company’s strategic views. This position will report to the Director, Business Planning but will require extensive collaboration with all members of the broader Business Planning and Financial Planning & Analysis teams as well as all of the Finance & Treasury organization.

The position requires strong command of financial concepts and analytical skills, as well as the ability to multitask intraday. Analysts must demonstrate sound organizational skills, curiosity to seek further clarification or details when required, and the ability to apply critical thinking to solve ambiguity. Additionally, experience with financial modeling and Oracle Hyperion Planning systems would be valuable.
Education : Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering. Master’s degree preferred but not required. CPA certification is also a plus.
Experience : Minimum of two (2+) years’ professional experience in Business Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Accounting, and/or Consulting. Experience within LNG, natural gas, or energy industries is a plus. Experience with financial modeling and Oracle Hyperion Planning systems is preferred.
The Analyst, Business Planning is capable of making daily decisions in the implementation of the planning processes and is expected to identify and communicate key business issues and improvement opportunities.
