Job Description
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Air Quality Analyst in Carlsbad, NM, reporting to the Environmental Manager. This position will be responsible for performing tasks associated with monitoring, assessing and ensuring compliance with air quality. They should have experience with data collection, data analysis, reporting, compliance and strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities•Perform tasks associated with air quality compliance including air permitting and maintenance of necessary statistics & records pertaining to emissions compliance
•Maintain internal record-keeping systems to ensure compliance with Compliance Database Reporting and associated regulatory requirements
•Interface with Operations team to ensure environmental compliance associated with air quality regulation
•Assist in the development of compliance strategies with applicable air quality regulations
•Collaborate with Environmental team to develop implementation processes of best management practices for emission management and mitigation
•Participate in interdepartmental coordination of cost-effective air quality compliance initiatives.
•Implement procedural changes as set forth by Production Operations Management as it pertains to regulatory changes
•Assist with modeling and calculating air emissions of all regulated pollutants
•Support environmental team by acting as local departmental liaison for field operators to ensure compliance with applicable air quality regulations
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Engineering, or related fields
•Minimum of 3 years Environmental experience
•Experience with emission modeling software i.e. Promax, HYSYS, etc.
•Oil and gas industry experience
•Strong knowledge of industry, environmental standards and regulations
•Solid problem-solving skills driven towards results
•Effective interpersonal and team communication skills
•The ability to be both self-motivated, and a team player
Preferred Qualifications
•Professional Engineer (PE) or other relevant certification
•Specialized experience will be considered if less than 3 years of general Environmental experience
•Proficiency with regulations such as NSPS, NESHAP, MACT
•Method 9 or OGIC certifications a plus
•Texas and New Mexico Environmental experience
