The Field Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer locations to service, maintain, and repair customer-owned equipment. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing repairs on variety of equipment. The technician represents EBM Manufacturing on-site and must uphold a high standard of professionalism, technical skill, and customer service. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage service schedules, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
This position will travel as needed. When travel is not needed you will work on site in Norfolk NE.
1. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction and industrial equipment.
2. Ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently in the field.
3. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
5. Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Basic computer and documentation skills to track service work and maintenance history.
7. Willingness to travel daily within the service region.
1. Regular field work at customer sites in various outdoor and indoor environments.
2. Exposure to equipment noise, dust, grease, weather conditions, and moving parts.
3. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
4. Requires physical ability to lift, climb, kneel, and work in tight or elevated areas.
1. Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
2. Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
