At Bigham Cable, as an Aerial Groundhand, you'll support an Aerial Telecom Crew with the installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials. Connecting you to great benefits Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) 401(k) w/ Company Match Stock Purchase Plan Education Reimbursement Legal Insurance Employee discounts available via perkspot.com What you'll do as an Aerial Groundhand Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed Perform work in all weather conditions Other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse Why work with us Your career here is more than just a job - it's your pathway to opportunity.
