You are invited to apply for an exciting career opportunity as an Administration Representative position in the Distribution
Construction Rural – Selkirk Department at Manitoba Hydro. The successful applicant will perform a variety of complex
administrative assignments related to the ongoing operation of the Distribution Construction Department and the Construction
Division.
Responsibilities:
•Participate actively and positively in the development of the team and the achievement of the team's goals.
•Prepare and process complex entries for time, expenses, per diems, and mileage for large crews using the SAP time and
expense system.
•Respond to staff inquiries related to their time, expenses, and benefits.
•Provide interpretation and administration of Collective Agreements and corporate policies.
•Arrange underground clearances with other utilities and/or railroads.
•Perform word processing, data entry, develop spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and SharePoint data management as
required.
•Prepare and maintain accurate documents related to Visa purchases and expense accounts.
•Process SAP functions (vendor invoices, purchase orders, goods receipts, etc.).
•Order, track, and receive Arc Rated clothing for department staff.
•Maintain administrative files relevant to the day-to-day construction operations, according to established procedures.
•Provide coverage for other department administrative representatives when away from the office.
Qualifications:
•Minimum Grade 12 education plus a minimum of two years of related experience.
OR
•Minimum Grade 12 education plus completion of commercial or vocational special courses and one year of related
experience.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Demonstrated initiative and ability to organize, schedule, and complete work on various administrative assignments.
•Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP and HRMS as it relates to time and expense administration, reporting, and receiving
functions.
•Good working knowledge of PC-based computer system applications, with a demonstrated ability in corporate standard
software including SAP, HRMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, M5, Adobe Acrobat, and eGIS.
•Ability to interpret Collective Agreements, policies, and procedures.
•Thorough knowledge of office procedures and routines.
•Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $26.72-$35.96 Hourly,
$51,208.04-$68,901.04 Annually.
