Hampel Oil Distributors, Inc. is a family-owned and operated wholesale marketer and distributor of finished petroleum products that was started in 1976 by Al Hampel. Now with 20 locations in 6 states Hampel Oil continues to grow with the times.
Hampel Oil is seeking Administrative Assistant for our Safety department.
Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to provide accurate and efficient administrative support to co-workers in the areas of human resources, safety and fleet management.
Here are the details:•Starting pay: $18 - $27 per hour
•Work a typical schedule of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday

Job Requirements:
Major Responsibilities:
•Maintain employee databases/file systems (driver qualification, training, drug screen, TPS, ISN, ADP) to include employee changes, tracking CDL and medical certification expiration dates and reminding employees to renew
•Assist in sending and processing new hire documents to include background checks, MVR, PSP, drug screen, medical certifications, road test, criminal history and employment verifications
•Assist in creating and maintaining driver qualification files to ensure complete and accurate files
•Create monthly safety trainings
•Track and facilitate vehicle registrations to ensure compliance including replacement plates or stickers, Pre-pass and K-tag accounts
•Create summaries of weekly incident reviews and share with others to cultivate learning
•Other duties as assigned
Education/Certification:
•Associates degree in business or related field preferred. Knowledge can be acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training.
Experience:
•3 years of experience in providing administrative support to multiple people or departments; FMCSA/DOT knowledge.
