Active Part Dryer and Treater - Large Power Transformers

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Active Part Dryer and Treater, you will be responsible for the operation and control of ovens, vacuum pumps, filters, and other necessary equipment for the drying of transformer active parts and other processes. This position is tailored for someone with a growth mindset and a dedication to safety and quality compliance. You will receive specialized training in Large Power Transformer Manufacturing as well as cross-train in new processes as you progress in your job role. You will gain outstanding and valuable skills that will set you apart in the world of Large Power Transformers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

- Operating ovens for the drying process of transformer active parts and process monitoring

- Performing periodic inspection of the equipment and monitoring its maintenance requirements according to the machine specifications and technical standards

- Operation and control of vacuum pumps for the vacuum process for transformer oil filling, and control of filters and other equipment for oil treatment process

- Performing quality checks, process monitoring and documentation

- Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.

- Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].

What You Bring

- High school degree or equivalent with relevant experience operating ovens for the drying process of transformer active parts and process monitoring.

- Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fast-paced environment.

Other Key Requirements:

Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests, as well as be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.

Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
