We’re hiring a ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST who can manage the company’s outgoing payments and ensure that all invoices are processed, recorded, and paid in a timely and accurate manner.
Our Accounts Payable Specialist’s responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests accurately and timely, review and reconcile employee credit card transactions, and maintain and update vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
•Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization and coding.
•Monitor for policy compliance and follow up on missing or incorrect entries.
•Post credit card expenses to the general ledger and ensure accurate account coding.
•Process weekly/monthly check runs.
•Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
•Assist with month-end closing by providing AP reports and account reconciliations.
•Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding payment status.
•Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
•Support audits by providing documentation and explanation of transactions.
Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
•Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
•Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounts payable position;
•Experience with Quickbooks Online or other mid-range accounting software programs;
•Experience with Microsoft Office software;
•Strong customer service acumen required;
•Initiative to learn, develop oneself and see things through from start to finish;
•Excellent interpersonal communication and computer skills;
•Ability to engage in active listening and communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
