PAYROLL/ACCOUNTS PAYABLE WORKING SUPERVISOR
CONSTRUCTION/UTILITY CONTRACTOR
We are a well-established utilities contractor located in Southeast Las Vegas with an immediate opening. We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable/Payroll Supervisor. Must be responsible to ensure processing of all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. In addition, accurately ensure the process and weekly payroll transmitted to third party payroll provider is conducted. Oversight and knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll is extremely important.
Payroll Responsibilities: Oversight, conduct and enhance the following
•Collect weekly timecards from employees, verify they meet company policy procedures.
•Verify hours, times and addition for accuracy.
•Enter data correctly into payroll software, to include proper projects, classifications and deductions.
•Pull and maintain all reports and records.
•Process certified payroll requirements on projects using LCP Tracker and be knowledgeable of the most current updates relative to State, Local, and Federal payroll regulations.
•Transmit data weekly to third party payroll and follow the Best Practice Standards. Report to the Controller and ensure HR is made aware of issues.
Accounts Payable - Supervision and hands on duties
•Print, scan and code all invoices received, via mail or electronically daily.
•Maintain purchase order log and provide PO#’s to employees upon request.
•Match packing slips to invoices.
•Reconcile vendors statements monthly.
•Provide support to vendors seeking payment information.
•Assist in collecting lien waivers from vendors.
•Set up new vendors, requesting W-9’s and Certificates of Insurance as required.
•Mailing and filing checks after each check run.
Skills and Abilities
•Proven working experience in Accounts Payable requires a minimum of 5 years as well as 5 years of experience in processing payroll preferred.
•Proven work experience with highly skilled abilities with prevailing wage/certified payroll jobs and extensive knowledge of the Davis Bacon Act.
•Quick learner, can multi-task, works well individually and as a team member.
•Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is a must. Oversight and the ability to supervise several employees is required.
•Very effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Must be able to meet time sensitive deadlines and report to Controller and Management along with creating SOP's.
•Professional phone etiquette. Demonstrates sound work ethics and must be able to ensure confidentiality.
•Computer literate a must, Microsoft Office Suite, Pro Contractor accounting software a plus, but not necessary. FOUNDATION SOFTWARE A MAJOR PLUS
This position is full-time Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Must be able to work with flexible schedules and able to work overtime, if required. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Aflac benefits are available after 91 days of employment completed with Byrd Underground.
