We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Payroll Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing all accounting functions, including payroll. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely invoices, tracking payments, processing payroll, and maintaining detailed records of all transactions. The supervisor will work closely with the store manager and ownership to ensure smooth financial operations.
To work directly with the Store Manager and Ownership
o Monitor incoming payments, record them accurately, and follow up on overdue accounts.
o Communicate with contractors regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable and payable transactions
o Work closely with the store manager and ownership to ensure accurate billing and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable/payable
o Compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and maintain vendor/contractor files or other key records
o Responsible for all aspects of payroll processing, demonstrated proficiency in using payroll software to manage and process payroll data
o Take the initiative to continually improve performance and work processes through feedback, problem solving and generating new ideas.
o Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively and efficiently.
o Demonstrate excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, respect for co-workers and attendance.
o Developing and implementing effective bookkeeping procedures and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Generating timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify potential errors.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Providing information and documentation required for internal and external audits.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in previous accounting or payroll administration role. Candidate must have experience with high volume AR/AP entry and preferably have previous accounting software experience- QuickBooks desktop/online
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with payroll processing, such as a Payroll Coordinator or Clerk for a small to mid-size employer

Work Environment:This position will be located within our supply store’s shared office spaces. This position will be in-person daily with working hours of Monday- Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
