- Prepare monthly journal vouchers/ financial statements
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Creation of expense and CAPEX pivot files
- Fixed asset tracking – acquisitions and disposals
- Prepare forecasts of revenue, expenses, and CAPEX
- Quarterly/ year-end jurisdictional reporting (FERC, PSC, State)
- Review property tax appraisals
- Cost of service analyses
- Track pipe miles/ inventory
- Payroll costing
- Directly supervises work product of subordinates; of one or more accounting clerks
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with two (2) years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators
- Understanding basic accounting principles
- Attention to detail with the ability to verify accuracy in one’s own work
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, handle multiple activities successfully while adhering to deadlines.
- Self-motivated, professional and courteous demeanor, dependable and punctual.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel software applications and preferably Oracle.
- Ability to master various in-house software applications is essential.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
