Job Summary
A detail-oriented and reliable Accounting and Payroll Administrator with extensive experience in managing full-cycle accounting and payroll processes. Skilled in handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing in compliance with provincial and federal regulations. Proficient at using accounting software such as Sage Busines Vision and EasyPay, and strong knowledge of MS Excel application. Known for strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
•Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
•Invoicing and bank deposit
•Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and month-end accruals
•Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts
•Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate coding of financial transactions
•Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
•Ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards, and internal controls
•Process full-cycle payroll on a bi-weekly basis
•Maintain and update employee payroll records in HR/payroll systems
•Calculate wages, bonuses, vacation pay, and other entitlements accurately
•Ensure timely and accurate remittance of payroll taxes, benefits, and deductions
•Prepare and issue ROEs, T4s, and other year-end tax forms
•Stay up to date with employment standards, tax regulations, and legislative changes
•Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits
•Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll and employee information
