Accounting Clerk

COOEC CA is looking for an accountant whos experienced in financial transactions, analyzing data, and preparing accurate reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:

· Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements using computerized and manual systems.

· Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements in a ledger or computer system.

· Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets.

· Prepare period or cost statements or reports.

· Calculate costs of materials, overhead and other expenses based on estimates, quotations, and price lists.

· Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.

· Create and manage a systematic filing system.

· Prepare documents for the company Accountant or for Internal Auditors

· Compile data for income tax returns.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· 2+ year of experience in a similar role (internships or co-op experience welcome)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite)

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
