Job Responsibilities:
•
Properly account for expenses in applicable period(s), as well as preparing month-end journal entries.
•
Prepare flash/forecast profit and loss statements for the respective business units.
•
Monitor monthly Plant Inventory levels and reconcile perpetual inventory accounts to the General Ledger accounts.
•
Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for Balance Sheet reviews.
•
Evaluate plant accounting and internal control systems.
•
Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
•
Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
•
Direct preparation of annual budgets, review of budget proposals, and preparation of necessary supporting documentation and justification.
•
Prepare variance reporting reconciliation and explanation of manufacturing variances.
•
Develop standard costs and update annually.
•
Assist with external and internal audits of company accounts.
•
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
