Accountant

Job Summary: Pierce Powerline Co. is seeking an Accountant is a dedicated, versatile, technically skilled business professional who is a member of the finance team and a support to executive, operational, and revenue cycle teams. Must be extremely trustworthy and respect the boundaries of confidentiality. This position impacts data analytics and process improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, examine, and maintain financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries.

- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial statements.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.

- Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

- Collaborate with management on cost reduction, revenue growth, and profitability strategies.

- Maintain organized financial files and records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred (but not always required).

- Proven experience as an accountant, auditor, or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
