We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Associate that can help us excel in quality, productivity and value. If this sounds like you, please keep reading!
- Load/unload trucks using fork lift. Trailers will be loaded/unloaded inside at the loading dock and flatbed trailers with raw materials will be unloaded outside.
- Prepare documents and shipment data (bills of lading, shipping orders, packing slips, weights, dimensions etc.)
- Package goods for shipment or storage
- Examine shipment contents for possible damage or problems and verify accuracy of paperwork. Discuss problems, such as damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications with supervisor
- Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, fork lift or by hand
- Balance priorities of team leads/supervisors from multiple departments to ensure all departments have required materials
- Accurately label incoming materials and outgoing products
- Safely move product from warehouse building to manufacturing building using a box truck and/or trailer (Our warehouse is next door to our manufacturing facility so you would not be required to drive on the road.)
- Package goods for shipment or storage
- Process shipping paperwork and material receipts in ERP system using a PC or handheld scanner.
- Communicate with customer service team or purchasing team via email and phone regarding outgoing and incoming shipments as necessary.
- Work well with a team
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Other duties as directed by the supervisor
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems such as ERP System, Word, Excel and Outlook (email)
- Organized and detail oriented
- Managing files and records, scanning barcodes, job packets and other office procedures and terminology
- Valid drivers license
- Communicate effectively with co-workers
- Work overtime when approved and scheduled by your supervisor
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds, be able to twist and turn, reach over your shoulders, work in standing or crouching position as necessary.
- Work well in a fast pace manufacturing environment.- 1 year experience with driving Industrial Power Truck (fork lift) required, 3+ years preferred - 3+ years experience in shipping and receiving office duties, preferred
- CDL is a plus. Willingness and ability to get CDL is desired.
