About This Job

Job Title – Powder Coat Crew Member

Job Duties

•

Load and unload parts on conveyor hangers, manually or with forklift.

•

Pack finished parts for shipment. Apply required part markings and tags.

•

Move packed parts to finished goods designated staging area.

•

Organize and maintain supplies: powders, chemicals, hooks, masking tapes, etc. Notify manager when levels are low.

•

Keep work area clean and organized.

•

Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues, or seek assistance.

•

Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.

•

Safely operate a forklift to load and unload conveyor system, and move raw parts and finished goods.

•

Follow written procedures and work instructions and complete production paperwork accurately.

•

Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.

•

Understand and support company policies and procedures.

•

Comply with all safety requirements.

•

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

•

Knowledge of, and commitment to, safety requirements of all phases of powder coating operations.

•

Ability to appropriately prioritize workload in response to scheduling changes.

•

Ability to operate a forklift.

•

Basic understanding of shop math.

•

Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.

•

Good verbal and written communication skills.

•

Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.

Physical Requirements

•

Lift, carry, push and or pull up to 50 lbs frequently.

•

Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.

•

Stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.

•

Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing as required. NOTE: Some job functions require the use of chemical gloves and boots, chemical apron, and goggles.
