JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Lathe Operator to operate and maintain our Doosan turning centers, including the 300, 2100B, or 240 models. This position requires experience in setting up, running, and inspecting precision parts using horizontal CNC lathes in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Set up and operate Doosan CNC lathes (300, 2100B, or 240) according to engineering drawings and production requirements.
•
Perform tooling setup, part loading, and machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
•
Make minor program edits and offsets as needed using FANUC controls.
•
Conduct in-process inspections with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
•
Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
•
Maintain clean and safe work areas; follow all shop safety protocols.
•
Identify and report machine issues or process inefficiencies.
•
Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
•
2+ years of CNC lathe experience; Doosan or other FANUC-based equipment preferred.
•
Strong understanding of turning operations, tooling, and feeds/speeds.
•
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
•
Proficiency in making offsets and minor code adjustments.
•
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
•
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification a plus.
Work Environment:
•
Machine shop environment with routine exposure to machining noise and materials.
•
May require standing for long periods and lifting parts or tools up to 30 lbs.
Work Schedule & Pay:
•
Shift: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
•
Breaks: Includes one 10-minute paid break and one 15-minute paid lunch per shift.
•
Pay Range: Up to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
•

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
