1:1 RN School Nurse All NYC Schools

Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate

Registered Nurses (RNs)

to provide

1:1 care for medically fragile students

in public schools across all five boroughs of New York City, with a strong need in

Brooklyn

. This is an

independent contractor role

offering a steady schedule and the opportunity to make a direct impact on a child’s ability to attend school safely.

Compensation: $50-55+ per hour (1099 Contractor Role)

Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one nursing care for a medically fragile student

- Monitor and manage conditions such as:

- Seizure care

- Diabetes management

- G-tube feeding, suctioning, oxygen administration, ventilator support

- Pulse oximetry and medication administration

- Accompany the student on the school bus if required

- Communicate with school staff, families, and medical teams

- Maintain documentation in compliance with DOE and NYS guidelines

Requirements:

- Valid New York State RN license

- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience

- Skilled in relevant care for medically fragile students

- CPR and First Aid certification

- Pediatric, school-based, or community health experience preferred
