The Compensation & HRIS Associate I is responsible for supporting the development and administration of the company’s compensation programs. This position is crucial in supporting the company’s goal of maintaining equitable and competitive compensation programs.



Location: Hybrid (see below), downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania



Responsibilities:

Support the administration of the annual compensation processes for merit increases and incentive payments
Maintain compensation data in the HR system by updating employee records and metadata and performing quarterly audits to ensure system accuracy
Participate in market research via compensation surveys
Support benchmarking and new job creation and classification
Generate letters for employee promotions, pay changes, and bonus awards
Track sign-on and retention agreements and coordinate payment
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
Assist with compensation reporting used for data-based decision-making including equity analysis
Participate in process improvements and maintain process documentation
Maintain compensation documentation including incentive plan, market pricing, and training documents
Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and others to provide excellent service to our employees
Ensure employee records are accurately entered, updated, and maintained in the HRIS system.
Assist in testing HRIS system updates, ensuring smooth implementation and functionality.
Monitor and ensure the accuracy and consistency of HR data across various systems.
Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure HRIS system meets organizational needs.
Help create and maintain user guides, training materials, and documentation for HRIS users.


Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field required
One (1+) or more years of experience in human resources, compensation administration, or data analysis preferred

Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:

Strong math and analytical skills using Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of HRIS systems
Ability to make impartial and ethical decisions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
