Location: TuscoMFG - Gnadenhutten, Ohio Department: Warehousing
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (includes a 30 min. unpaid lunch) Reports To: Operations
The Warehouse Coordinator plays a critical role in managing warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory oversight, material flow, and communication with production leads and clients. This position ensures products and materials move efficiently, accurately, and on time to support both production needs and customer satisfaction. As the business grows, this role may expand to include leadership and oversight of the Inventory Control Specialist.
- Verify, record, and prepare all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Inspect materials for accuracy and quality, resolving discrepancies with suppliers
- Package, label, and palletize outgoing products per company and customer requirements
- Create shipping documentation (BOLs, pack slips, labels) and coordinate with carriers
- Track shipments and provide timely status updates to clients
- Maintain accurate ERP-based inventory records
- Conduct bin transfers, counts for incoming product, and annual physical inventories
- Manage shipping supplies using a Kanban system
- Document and maintain warehouse SOPs
- Communicate proactively with production regarding deadlines and material needs
- Escalate potential fulfillment issues impacting customer satisfaction
- Support cross-training, scheduling, and team coordination when required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience preferred- Proficiency with ERP systems and shipping software (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
- Knowledge of Kanban, 5S, and Lean manufacturing principles preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- ERP and shipping system proficiency
